Once this company receives your payment via credit card there is no cancelling, no return, no recourse if anything goes wrong, and it will. Google Cozytrike complaints and/or Epizontech and see for yourself. Be carefull NOT to read reviews from their web sites and be fooled. I purchased this CozyTrike online, the only way you can order as they will not and do not answer phones. Try any option at 413-634-4090. ALL CALLS are referred to their web site.
I ordered the upgraded battery, upgraded power package. $1795.00 total, included prepaid freight. CozyTrike shipped Prepaid via Roadway LTL, 175#. When I received the call to make a delivery appointment I was told it could not be delivered to a residence without a liftgate. Well, I don't have a forklift at my modest residence and Carrier said could they would not deliver using a liftgate without authorization from shipper. After a week I called Carrier back asking where my delivery is and they say cannont get in contact with shipper.... (Me either). I wanted my tricycle and knew it was in town so I arranged to pickup the trike at the carrier, an agent truck line for Roadrunner. The trike was supposed to be on a pallet and it was not. I noted on the freight bill the box had minor damage but not not bad enough to refuse.
I get the trike to my garage and carefully begin to unpack. First I notice some broken pieces loose in the bottom of the box. I continue to unpack the trike and soon notice the battery box is all broken up, the front fender is missing half the red paint, the seat backrest is broken, big gash/scratches on the main frame. I send email to Cozytrikes/Epizontech and reply comes in two days. Reply email states to Return bad parts at MY EXPENSE and they will determine if replaement parts are justified. The battery pack/box is self contained and cannot be seperated from the bike without cutting several permantly attached wires, and the battery weighs about 70#'s. I would need to completley ruin the trike by dismanteling to their request in hopes that they would justify reurn of undamaged parts. Then I would have to reassemble and re-wire all the electrical if that were to happen. I looked into returning the entire trike but to repack and ship back would cost me about $450.00. In reading other reviews I see where Cozytrikes will not send another Trike and they will not allow refunds.
I am stuck with a worthless piece of crap, spent much time trying to resolve and am now giving up. At this point I just want to help keep someone else from dealing with this company and making the mistake I did. It cost me $1800.00 and I got nothing and you will have no recourse with this company. Please stay away from them!
